About

Simon Greenbaum, MD, was born and raised on Long Island, and he completed all of his medical education and training in the New York area. Dr. Greenbaum is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in hip and knee replacement. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with dean’s honors in 2014.

Dr. Greenbaum completed his 5-year residency at Montefiore Medical Center. He then continued his advanced training with a yearlong fellowship in adult reconstruction (joint replacement) at NYU Langone Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD) / Insall Scott Kelly (ISK) Institute. He trained with many renowned surgeons from whom he learned the direct anterior approach total hip replacement.

Dr. Greenbaum specializes in direct anterior hip replacement, posterior hip replacement, partial knee replacement, total knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, and hip and knee replacement infections. He is trained in multiple computer-navigation systems and is certified with the Mako Robot for robotic hip and knee replacement.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Greenbaum was elected to the American Orthopaedic Association’s Emerging Leaders Program.
